The Smith & Wesson Spring Assisted Clip Folder features a 8Cr13MoV spring assisted black oxide coated blade and aluminum handles. 8Cr13MoV is a high-quality stainless steel similar in properties to AUS-8. This steel exhibits extreme toughness and excellent edge retaining capabilities. The brown and black aluminum handles are rubberized for added grip. The blade springs open with a slight push of the dual thumb studs. The thumb studs are ambidextrous but there is only one set of holes drilled for the tip-down pocket clip so it cannot be reversed.
